Attention Astrologers: please convert this to your local time zone.

This is a cardinal sign new moon ushering in a change of seasons. In the northern hemisphere we have summer turning to autumn. In the southern hemisphere winter is giving way to spring.

We the north are sensing the balance tip to increasing darkness and the eventual dominance of the stars and the reflected light of the planets as our night light.

The ancient Greek dramatists in their tragic plays feature madness and murder at high noon. The fierce light and heat of Sol promoted a deeply energized ego to the point of violence. So, they associated the contemplative nature of fading light and the solitude of twilight as the return of reason. Thus, the scales of justice and the rise of weighing both sides of all dualities; crime/justice, life/death, poverty/wealth, greed/altruism, and of course the balance of these dynamic living panoramas.

A thief may not necessarily be a criminal.

A thief might steal to feed a family, a criminal has a career of crime. And so it goes.

During this next two weeks, take time to contemplate your actions.

Take notice of Ukraine gaining the upper hand as a balance shifts. Take notice of the fate of one man who wants war, and the rising tide of protest. Watch the balance tip in Iran, as people in 80 cities revolt against what religion becomes in the hands of men.

Libra is the judgement of Maat. Maat is the feather weighed against your soul in Egyptian mythology. Restore balance to your body first, followed by your mind, and spirit. When you demand to know how to do that — nothing will change, except you becoming older and more fearful. My body, your body is always listening.

You say your body is what you drag from room to room, I say it is your puppy desperately seeking your attention.

Oh and … your body does not know your name.
