Full moons — 12 a year — occur 14 days after each new moon. Full moons symbolize a climax or a culmination of effort and action. We often use the phrase, ‘maximum illumination’ to describe their meaning.
When she departs from her lover, the sun, during a new moon, life is rich in possibilities. This is like watching a newborn and imagining a vibrant and bountiful future for the neonate. She, in her helpless and unformed state, needs nurturing and direction. She is leaving her lover to explore and even make mistakes.
14 days later she is at her brightest and biggest and farthest from her beloved. She sends out a bright full moon beacon/searchlight and signals her return.
When we begin our efforts or new campaign at a new moon, we are helping plans to grow in the most optimum way, and success is never guaranteed.
By the full moon we will know much more about success or the necessity of starting over again at the next NEW moon. The universe only responds to action. The universe does not respond to wishing and imagining.
Fortunately, this new Moon in cardinal signs is about taking outer worldly actions. Cardinality is about initiating new actions in the world at large — like building a bridge, repairing the driveway, fixing a bike, making chocolate cake, quitting a bad habit, overthrowing a corrupt regime, finding newer better love elsewhere, the next city / job / adventure / lover / goalpost … you get the picture.

Libra and Aries are dynamic and complementary. Aries is the fire of the self in the world, the first scream at the light. Aries, a Mars ruled sign, symbolizes throwing oneself into life and the fight to survive and to thrive.
Libra, a Venus ruled sign, signifies self and other and self with other. Mars insists you wash your own dirty plate or fork. Venus says let’s wash the dishes together while we dance and play some music.
This full moon points us towards the balance between self and other and reveals — over the next 14 days until next new Moon in Scorpio — the dynamic and ever changing balance of independence and cooperation with another, whether business or love.
